Well, Now I am up to date again after internet-connection has been re-activated. Today was a special one. We had visitors from MAF, the company the runs flight services from Dhaka to Bhola by water plane and Ali took us to the new land of the Protibondi School. In the evening I played BAdminton with the adult teachers of the school.
For embarking the MAF-people Ali had to hire a speedboat and offered us to join him cruising through some canals to the landing stage where the ferries from Dhaka and also the water plane usually uses to arrive. Anytime we leave the boundary and go public a cloud of people are standing around us and never end watching on us.
The MAF people did not have much time so they just stayed for lunch but they got the same positive impressions of the project as we ourselves.
After lunch we joined them back on the way to the landing stage. While Bruna, Isabella and me were waiting at the platform again surrounded by locals, Jelena an Ali got on the boat to take them to the water plane. Jelena and MAF's own cameraman wanted to catch the starting and landing of the plane so the pilot did start and land 3 or 4 times. Later Ali recieved a phone call of the local administration office to let them know about that mission and which people were involved;-)
Well after that Ali took us to the new land where Bholas Children Founation likes to build up a farm in future and now they plant rice, vegetables, mango-, papaya- and banana-trees and grow fish in another pond.
In the evening we played badminton with the staff of the school. They use to to that nearly every day and installed a quite professional badminton field and net in the middle of the boundaries courtyard.
Meanwhile children get more more closer to us and we are part of their big family. They call Bruna "mommy" like they use to do it since years and Jelena and Isabella "Aunty" and me "Uncle";-)

Nun bin ich nach der internetfreien Zeit endlich wieder uo to date und kann von heute an wieder live berichten.
Es war irgendwie ein besonderer und abwechslungsreicher Tag heute. Wir hatten Besuch von MAF, einem Flugdienst, der Bhola aus Dhaka per Wasserflugzeug verbindet, Ali zeigte uns das neue Land und wir spielten am Abend Badminton mit den Lehrern.
Um die MAF-Leute abzuholen, musste Ali ein Speedboat chartern und nahm uns mit, um das Boot abzuholen und zur Anlegestelle der Fähren aus Dhaka zu bringen, in deren Nähe auch das Wasserflugzeug normalerweise landet. Immer wenn wir die Schule verlassen und uns im Dorf bewegen scharen sich die Einwohner um uns und schauen uns stundenlang geduldig an.
Die MAF-Leute hatten nicht viel Zeit, blieben aber zum Mittagessen und waren, glaube ich, vom Projekt genauso positiv beeindruckt wie wir selbst.
Nach dem Mittagessen brachten wir sie zurück zur Anlegestelle wo das Speedboat noch wartete, um sie zurück zum Flieger zu bringen. Während Bruna, Isabella und ich - wiederum umringt von Einheimischen" an Land warteten, brachten Ali und Jelena die Leute mit dem Boot zum Wasserflugzeug. Jelena und ein MAF-eigener Kamera wollten Start und Landung des Flugzeugs filmen, wofür der Pilot 3-4- mal Start und Landung durchzog. Später wurde Ali sogar von der örtlichen Verwaltung angerufen, was das ganze sollte und welche Personen beteiligt waren;-)
Naja, anschliessend zeigte uns Ali das neue Land, auf dem eine eigene Farm entstehen soll und jetzt schon Reis, verschiedenes Gemüse. Mango-, Papaya- und Bananenbäume wachsen und wiederum in einem Teich Fische gehalten werden.
Am Abend spielten wir mit den Lehrern, die auch teilweise in der Schule wohnen, Badminton. Das machen sie fast jeden Abend und haben auch recht professionelles Feld mit Netz im Hof der Schule aufgebaut.
Inzwischen haben sich die Kinder schon sehr an uns gewohnt und wir werden Teil der großen Familie. Bruna nennen Sie wie immer schon "Mommy", Jelena uns Isabella "Aunty" und ich bin der "Uncle";-)
